Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, Bathinda, Firozpur & Amritsar See Blasts, Missile Fragments, and Civilian Injuries

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): There was an attempted drone attack this morning in several districts of Punjab. The Pakistani drone targets included Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, Bathinda, Firozpur, and Amritsar. In Jalandhar, sirens were sounded at around 8:00 AM due to the threat of attacks. Explosions were reportedly heard in several parts of the city. In Jalandhar Cantonment, sirens went off intermittently, and the police and army advised residents to stay indoors. A red alert has been issued in Bathinda and Amritsar.
Bathinda Air Force Station Targeted
Pakistan attempted to target the Air Force Station in Bathinda early this morning. A drone attack was also reported in Firozpur. Sirens were sounded by the administration in response. In Jalandhar’s Kangniwal village, a loud explosion occurred early Saturday morning. Missile debris was found in the village. Two cars were damaged, and one person was injured and admitted to the civil hospital. Kangniwal village is located on the Jalandhar-Adampur Road, near Jandu Singha. Adampur Air Force Station is around 15 km from this location.
Explosions in Gurdaspur; Windows Shattered Up to 4 KM Away
A powerful explosion occurred around 4:45 AM in Chhichhra village in Gurdaspur district, leaving a crater 40 feet wide and 15 feet deep in an empty field. The blast sound terrified the villagers, and windows in homes up to 4 km away were shattered. Four loud explosions were reportedly heard during the night. According to village head Sukhdev Singh, large craters formed in the fields, with bomb-like fragments scattered nearby.
