Jammu and Kashmir LG Administration Dismisses 3 Government Employees for Terror Links

Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu): The Jammu and Kashmir LG administration, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has taken a strong stance against terrorism by dismissing three government employees for their alleged connections to Pakistan-backed terrorist outfits. The dismissed employees include Malik Ishfaq Naseer, a police constable; Ajaz Ahmed, a school teacher and Waseem Ahmad Khan, a junior assistant at Government Medical College, Srinagar.
Allegations Against the Dismissed Employees
Malik Ishfaq Naseer, who joined the Jammu and Kashmir Police in 2007, is accused of collaborating with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) handlers and facilitating arms drops across the Jammu region. Ajaz Ahmed, a school teacher since 2011, allegedly maintained active communication with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) operatives in Poonch. Waseem Ahmad Khan, who has worked at GMC Srinagar since 2007, faces allegations of involvement in terrorist logistics and providing safe passage to terrorists.
Action Under Article 311(2)(c)
The dismissals were made under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution, which permits dismissal without a departmental inquiry in matters concerning national security. The move is part of a broader effort to identify and remove elements who pose a threat from within the system.
Tightening Security Measures
The Jammu and Kashmir administration has dismissed over 75 government employees under similar provisions since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. Authorities have also tightened recruitment protocols, mandating police verification for all new hires in public departments to prevent infiltration by anti-national elements.
