New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A controversy has erupted surrounding Navankur Chaudhary, a popular YouTuber known for his travel vlogs on the "Yatri Doctor" channel, after he was spotted attending a party at the Pakistani Embassy in New Delhi alongside Jyoti Malhotra, a fellow YouTuber accused of espionage.

Police Investigation Underway

The Bahadurgarh police have initiated an investigation into Chaudhary's connections after his photographs with Malhotra surfaced online. Chaudhary's father, Navin Dhankhar, claimed his son was being "framed" and emphasized that Navankur had done nothing wrong.

Chaudhary's Response

In a video statement, Chaudhary clarified that Malhotra was merely a fan and not a close friend. He explained that the Pakistani Embassy regularly invites YouTubers who have visited the country to attend such gatherings. Chaudhary maintained that he had done nothing to warrant suspicion and expressed willingness to cooperate with any investigation.

Chaudhary's Background

As a registered medical doctor turned YouTuber, Chaudhary has traveled to over 144 countries and aims to visit all 197 countries. His family has a strong background in the Indian armed forces, with his father and uncle having served in the army and air force, respectively.

Controversy Over Deleted Videos

Chaudhary admitted to deleting four videos from his channel, but claimed these were personal videos from his honeymoon and not related to his travel content.

Call for Fair Investigation

The controversy raises questions about social media scrutiny and the need for fair investigations. Chaudhary's case highlights the challenges faced by social media influencers and the importance of transparency in their interactions with foreign diplomatic missions.
