Kota Accident: Speeding Car Hits Woman, 4 Children; Driver Absconding

Kota (The Uttam Hindu): A devastating incident occurred on May 8 in Rajasthan's Kota, where a speeding car ran over a 55-year-old woman, Indra Bai, and four children outside her house in Ajay Ahuha Nagar. The accident was captured on CCTV footage, which showed the car dragging the victims for nearly 10 feet.

The incident took place around 9 pm when Indra Bai was sitting outside her house, while her nephew Vivaan (7) and niece Yashika (11) were playing nearby with neighboring children Vaishali (8) and Anisha (10). The children were fixing a bicycle chain when the speeding car hit them.

A case has been registered against the accused driver, Chirag Jangid, based on a complaint filed by Hemant Rathore, Bunty Rathore and Manoj Mehra. The driver is currently absconding, and the police are actively searching for him.
