Ludhiana Tragedy: Married Man Dies by Suicide After Alleged Threats from Mistress

Ludhiana (The Uttam Hindu): Suicide cases are on the rise in the country. A similar case has surfaced in Jagraon's Abupura village in Ludhiana , where a man named Roop Singh allegedly took his own life by hanging himself with a dupatta. The incident took place at his own home. A case has been registered against Simarjit kaur, alias Seema, who had been threatening Roop Singh.

The Incident

According to Roop Singh's wife, Amandeep Kaur, her husband had been in a relationship with Simarjit Kaur for three years. However, when he tried to end the relationship, Simarjit Kaur started threatening him, warning that she would get him killed if he didn't continue talking to her and meet her expenses.

The Final Straw

On the night of May 31, after receiving a call from Simarjit Kaur, Roop Singh became distraught and took the extreme step of ending his life. The police have taken custody of the body and sent it for postmortem.

Investigation Underway

The police have registered a case against Simarjit Kaur under relevant sections and are conducting raids to apprehend her. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are working to gather more evidence.
