New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk may soon launch a new political party, and through posts on X (formerly Twitter), he has subtly hinted at its name — “The America Party.” While Musk hasn’t explicitly confirmed the creation of a party, a series of posts have fueled speculation.

The timing of this revelation is also significant. Musk’s relationship with former ally and U.S. President Donald Trump has recently soured. Their heated exchanges on social media are now dominating political discussions, potentially influencing the upcoming U.S. elections.

Musk conducted a poll on X, asking whether the U.S. needs a new political party. He said 80% of users voted “yes.” Musk wrote, “The people have spoken. America now needs a party that represents the middle 80%, and 80% of people agree. It’s destiny.”

A user responded with a photo captioned “The America Party,” to which Musk replied, “The name ‘America Party’ sounds great. A party that truly represents America!” Later, he posted again simply saying — “The America Party.”

Musk and Trump, once close allies, have seen their relationship deteriorate. Musk previously attended Trump’s cabinet meetings and inauguration, even campaigning strongly for him. Musk was also appointed head of the Department of Galactic Energy (DOGE). However, he recently resigned from the department and has since been openly critical of Trump. He even stated that Trump would’ve lost the election without his support. In response, Trump has threatened to revoke Musk’s subsidies and government contracts.
