LPG Leak Turns Deadly: Noida 4-Storey Building Engulfed in Flames After Sudden Blast, Over 100 Trapped on Rooftop

Noida (The Uttam Hindu) A late-night inferno in a four-storey residential building in Noida’s Sector 87 turned into a chilling rescue mission after more than 100 residents were forced onto the rooftop, desperately escaping thick smoke and rising flames.
The fire, which broke out around 11:24 PM on Tuesday in Gali No. 1, Naya Gaon, is believed to have been triggered by a gas leak from an LPG cylinder on the first floor. The leak led to an explosion, rapidly engulfing the building in flames and smoke.
As panic spread, dozens of residents rushed to the rooftop to avoid suffocation. Responding to the emergency, the fire department dispatched six fire engines and a hydraulic platform from nearby stations.
Thanks to the swift action of firefighters and police, all trapped residents were safely evacuated using ladders and the hydraulic lift. While no casualties were reported, a few individuals suffered breathing difficulties and were given on-the-spot medical aid. The fire has since been fully brought under control, and an investigation into the exact cause and safety compliance of the building is underway.
