New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : An all-party meeting was held today by the central government to inform all the political parties about Operation Sindoor. In the meeting, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that Operation Sindoor against Pakistan is still going on. That is, even after the air strike on 9 locations in Pakistan on May 7, the operation has not been stopped. After coming out of the meeting that lasted for about one and a half hours, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju also reiterated the statement of the Defense Minister. Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge has said that in this hour of crisis, the entire opposition is standing with the government in the national interest.

Kharge said this while talking to reporters after participating in it here on Thursday. Kharge said in the presence of opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and other leaders in Lok Sabha that the government has informed all political parties about the action taken by Indian armed forces on nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir after the Pahalgam attack. He said that citing national security, the government has said that it cannot make some confidential information public right now. Kharge said that in such a time of crisis, we are not pressurizing the government for this and are standing with the government in national interest.

The meeting was chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Apart from this, Home Minister Amit Shah, Jagat Prakash Nadda, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Samajwadi Party's Ram Gopal Yadav, DMK's TR Balu, AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi, Trinamool Congress' Sudipta Bandopadhyay, Shiv Sena's Shrikant Shinde, Aam Aadmi Party's Sanjay Singh, Marxist Party's John Brittas, Lok Jan Shakti Party's Chirag Paswan, Biju Janata Dal's Sasmit Patra and DMK's Tiruchi Siva participated in the meeting on behalf of the government.
