Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking revelation has been made in the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Through electronic surveillance, 15 local Kashmiri Overground Workers (OGW) have been identified, who are suspected of helping Pakistani terrorists. They are accused of gathering resources, procuring weapons and guiding terrorists in the forests.

All five suspects were present in the area at the time of the attack and their phone locations have also been revealed. A chat between the three detained accused has also been recovered, which mentions their role in the attack.

A joint team of NIA, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Intelligence Bureau and RAW is interrogating 10 other OGWs. More than 200 overground workers have been detained and interrogated. Among them, there are 20-25 such OGWs who are already notorious for being in touch with and sheltering Pakistani terrorists.

The 15 suspected OGWs are residents of South Kashmir and have previously helped Pakistani terrorists in many terrorist incidents. Investigation has also revealed that the attack was carried out by a team of 4-5 terrorists, which included two Pakistanis and two local Kashmiris. At present, the security forces have intensified the search for terrorists in the forests of Baisaran Valley. It is believed that the attackers may still be hiding in the dense forests. The search operation is continuing in the entire area.

According to a senior officer, based on the information received from the 15 detained OGWs, efforts are being made to connect all aspects of the attack conspiracy, so that concrete action can be taken against the accused as soon as possible.
