New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu)- After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India has taught Pakistan a lesson for its nefarious act through 'Operation Sindoor'. Two days of India's Operation Sindoor against Pakistan have been completed. The Ministry of External Affairs has given information on this. In this press address, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sofia Qureshi shared all the updates of Operation Sindoor's two days so far.

On India's Operation Sindoor against terrorism, Colonel Sofia Qureshi said that we had told in the press conference after Operation Sindoor that we had not targeted any military base. He said that on the night of 07-08 May 2025, Pakistan attempted to target several military bases in northern and western India including Avantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bathinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai and Bhuj using drones and missiles. These were neutralized by the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and air defense systems. The debris of these attacks is now being recovered from many places which proves Pakistani attacks. This morning Indian armed forces targeted air systems at several locations in Pakistan. The air defense system was destroyed in Lahore. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said, Pakistan has increased the intensity of unprovoked firing across the LoC with mortars and heavy caliber artillery in Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar and Rajouri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. 16 innocent people have lost their lives due to Pakistani firing. These include three women and five children. India was forced to respond to stop the firing of mortars and artillery from Pakistan.

In the press conference, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that Pakistan is misleading the world. India is just retaliating. India had only targeted terrorist hideouts. The terrorist organization associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba had taken responsibility for the attack in Pahalgam. Pakistan had opposed the naming of TRF in the press release of the UN Security Council. The attack on Pahalgam is the root of the provocation and the Indian Army had responded to it yesterday. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that when the talks about Pahalgam were going on in the UNSC, Pakistan had opposed the role of TRF (The Resistance Front). Pakistan did this when TRF took responsibility for the attack not once but twice. Colonel Qureshi and Wing Commander Singh have clearly said yesterday and even today that India's response is precise and measured. Our intention is not to escalate the matter. We are only responding to the increasing tension. No military target has been targeted. We have only targeted the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan.
