Pakistan breached the ceasefire for the ninth day in a row; Indian Army responded firmly

Jammu (The Uttam Hindu): The Indian Army has responded with prompt and appropriate action after Pakistani soldiers initiated unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir on the night of May 2-3, 2025. The firing occurred in the Kupwara, Uri and Akhnoor areas, and the Indian Army retaliated with restraint.
Pakistan's Pattern of Nighttime Firing
This incident is part of a larger pattern of escalating tensions along the LoC, with Pakistan firing on the border every night for the past eight days. The firing has been reported in five out of six districts adjoining the LoC, including North Kashmir's Bandipora, Baramulla and Kupwara and Jammu's Rajouri, Poonch and Akhnoor.
Indian Army's Response
The Indian Army has been giving a befitting reply to Pakistan's provocations, and so far, there has been no damage to Indian territory. The Indian Army remains vigilant and prepared to respond to any further aggression.
Tensions Along the LoC
The recent escalation in tensions along the LoC comes after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam and it appears that Pakistan is trying to increase military tension on the border. The Indian Army is closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of the region.
