Pakistan Violates Ceasefire Again on LoC, Indian Army Retaliates Strongly

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Pakistan is not willing to desist from its nefarious activities on the Line of Control. Here the Pakistani army has once again violated the ceasefire and opened fire. According to the army, during the night of May 1-2, firing was done from Pakistani military posts.
The Pakistani army has fired across the Line of Control in Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Nowshera and Akhnoor areas of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani army opened fire with small arms without any provocation. The Indian Army soldiers responded to the firing in a restrained but accurate manner. This is the eighth consecutive day when the Pakistani army has fired on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani army has been firing on the Line of Control since last Friday.
Meanwhile, America has said that it is with India. America has supported India's right to self-defense. The US Defense Minister has said, "America stands in solidarity with India and supports India's right to self-defense."
It is noteworthy that on 22 April, terrorists brutally killed 26 tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Since then, the Pakistani army is also violating the ceasefire on the Line of Control. Meanwhile, US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth and India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh spoke on the phone on Thursday. During this, the Pahalgam terrorist attack was discussed. America has expressed deep condolences on the Pahalgam terrorist attack. In this discussion, India has told America that Pakistan is supporting, training and funding the terrorists. US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth called India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and expressed deep condolences on the loss of lives of innocent civilians in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
During the talks on Thursday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that Pakistan has a history of supporting, training and funding terrorist organisations. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, "Pakistan has been exposed as a rogue nation, which is promoting global terrorism and destabilising the region. The world can no longer turn a blind eye to terrorism." The Defence Minister also said that the global community should clearly and firmly condemn such heinous terrorist acts. During the talks, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth reaffirmed the full support of the US in India's fight against terrorism. Earlier during the night of 30 April and 1 May, Pakistani Army posts opened fire across the Line of Control opposite Kupwara, Uri and Akhnoor in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
