Pakistani Spy Arrested in Punjab: Leaked Army Secrets Linked to Operation Sindoor

Tarn Taran (The Uttam Hindu): A major conspiracy threatening India’s national security has been uncovered in Punjab. In a joint operation by Tarn Taran Police and the Counter-Intelligence Unit, a Pakistani spy has been arrested who was leaking sensitive military information related to ‘Operation Sindoor’ to ISI agents.
The accused has been identified as Gagandeep Singh alias Gagan, a resident of Mohalla Rodoopur, Tarn Taran. According to police, Gagandeep had been in contact for the past five years with Gopal Singh Chawla, a Khalistani extremist based in Pakistan, who introduced him to officers of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.
Shared Critical Army Info with ISI
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav revealed that the accused transmitted details about Indian Army operations, troop movements, and strategic military locations during Operation Sindoor to Pakistan. This sensitive data was shared via mobile phone, which has now been seized. Initial investigations revealed that Gagandeep was in contact with over 20 ISI-linked agents, and digital evidence of money transfers has been recovered.
Espionage Network Under Probe
A case has been registered under the Official Secrets Act at Tarn Taran City Police Station. Intelligence agencies and cyber teams are now thoroughly probing the suspect’s financial transactions, digital networks, and foreign connections. Authorities believe this is not an isolated incident but likely part of a larger, organized espionage network. Officials suggest that interstate and international links may be uncovered in the coming days.
