Heartbreaking Video: Pet Dog Dies After Being Left by the Owners in Locked Car

Mathura (The Uttam Hindu): A very painful and heartbreaking incident has come to light from Vrindavan, Mathura, the city of Krishna, where the carelessness of a couple who had come to visit Vrindavan took the life of their pet dog. The couple locked their 5-year-old Labrador dog in the car and went to the temple, after which the dog died after suffering for about three hours due to suffocation in the closed car. By the time he was taken out, it was too late.
The incident took place at a parking lot in Vrindavan on Tuesday morning around 10 am. A family from Delhi was parking their car and going for darshan. They left their pet Labrador inside the car. When the parking security guard asked them to take the dog out, the owners avoided it by saying that "he is sleeping and the window has been left slightly open for air."
About two hours later, when the guard passed by the car, he saw the dog panting and barking badly. His tongue was out and he was restlessly stuck under the driver's seat. The guard immediately tried to open the window and break the glass, but could not succeed. He ran and called the mechanic. By the time the mechanic opened the car door, the dog had fainted. This whole effort took about 45 minutes.
People took the dog out and poured water on it, but there was no movement in its body. It was immediately taken to the veterinary hospital, where doctors declared it dead. After some time, when the couple returned after the darshan and saw a crowd near their car, they were shocked. Seeing the dead body of the dog they had raised like their 'child', they started crying bitterly and regretting their mistake, said that their dog died because of them. They told that they had brought it when it was 55 days old and had been raising it like a child for 5 years.
This incident is a warning to all those pet owners who leave their pets locked in the car. A locked car becomes a hot furnace in no time, in which the pet can die due to suffocation.
