New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Incidents of phone snatching and theft are increasing in the metropolitan cities of the country, especially in cities like Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Chennai. Such incidents are often reported in crowded public transport like buses, metros and trains. Recently, a thief stole the conductor's phone in a moving bus while he was busy with his work.
In a CCTV footage shared on social media platform X, the conductor can be seen chatting with a passenger. Meanwhile, a young boy is seen standing right behind him. As the bus halts at a stop for a passenger and the doors open, the boy quickly moves forward, takes out the conductor's mobile phone from his bag and immediately gets off the bus and runs away.
This theft incident happened in a matter of seconds and its video has gone viral on the internet, seeing which people are shocked. Reacting to the video, an X user wrote, "He worked so cleanly, he should get Bharat Ratna." Another user commented, "Did not take any time at all." At the same time, another user wrote, "What a cleanliness of hands." This incident raises concerns about the safety of passengers and employees in public transport.
