PM Modi's first visit to Sikkim cancelled, addressed people virtually; said- 'Pahalgam attack is an attack on humanity'

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first visit to Sikkim, which started his four-state tour from May 29, was scheduled to be to Sikkim, but it was canceled due to bad weather. He could not attend the program organized in Gangtok to mark the completion of 50 years of the state. After this, PM Modi joined the program virtually from Bagdogra, West Bengal. In his address, he referred to 'Operation Sindoor' against terrorists and said: "The cowardly attack carried out by terrorists in Pahalgam was not only an attack on India but on humanity.
During Operation Sindoor, a befitting reply was given to the terrorists and their deadly bases were destroyed.” The Prime Minister also thanked the people of the state for the progress of Sikkim and the cooperation of the people. The Vedanta-AYUSH Ministry meeting scheduled for Friday will now be held on a virtual platform.
