Explosive Clash at LoC: Indian Troops Engage Infiltrators in Deadly Encounter

Jammu/Poonch (The Uttam Hindu): A fierce gunbattle erupted early this morning between the Indian Army and infiltrators along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, adjacent to Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter began after the Army foiled a major infiltration attempt in the Balakote sector.

According to defense sources, alert Indian soldiers spotted suspicious movement near the zero line ahead of the LoC fence in the Dabby area of Balakote sector. When the soldiers challenged the infiltrators, they opened fire, triggering intense retaliatory firing from the Indian side.

The operation is still ongoing, with additional troops deployed to neutralize any remaining threats. The area has been cordoned off, and a massive search operation is underway to ensure that all infiltrators are dealt with and no breach of national security occurs.
