Pune International Airport Flooded After Just One Hour of Rain – Watch the Shocking Video

Pune (The Uttam Hindu): Monsoon has not yet arrived, but unseasonal rains have started wreaking havoc in Pune and surrounding areas. On Monday, just one hour of heavy rains made the city of Pune miserable, and the rains continued on Tuesday as well. The situation has become so bad that water is visible everywhere outside Pune International Airport, due to which passengers are facing a lot of trouble.
All the gates of Pune airport are flooded, causing great difficulty to passengers in commuting. Just one hour of rain has exposed the poor drainage system of the city. Water has accumulated near the exit gate of the airport, and a video has also surfaced in which the chambers near the exit gate are seen submerged in water.
Thousands of passengers use the Pune airport on a daily basis, and this waterlogging caused by just one hour of rain has put them to immense inconvenience. Looking at these conditions, one can imagine how worse the situation can get when the monsoons arrive in full swing, if better arrangements are not made.
The roads outside gate number 2 and 3 of Pune International Airport have turned into ponds. Due to waterlogging, many vehicles stopped midway, after which passengers had to walk to reach the airport. Locals are accusing the Municipal Corporation of negligence as no proper arrangement for drainage has been made there yet.
