Punjab Government on High Alert, CM Mann Announces Increased Security Measures

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu) : After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann held a high-level security meeting at his residence on Wednesday. Many points were discussed in the meeting. Condemning the terrorist attack, CM Bhagwant Mann said that Punjab Police is on alert mode. The Chief Minister called this attack cowardly and said that spreading terror is the work of terrorists but our security agencies are very alert.
He said that today all the places have been reviewed and orders have been given to increase it wherever needed. Security has been increased at all tourist places. The tourism department will send all the people of Punjab who are stranded there to their homes via Pathankot. Meanwhile, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that we have tightened the security in the state. We are in touch with Jammu and Kashmir Police and central agencies and intelligence is being shared. We will keep Punjab completely safe.
Punjab DGP said that anti-drone system will be launched soon from our side, because now people sitting across the border have only one way to spread terror here. Pakistan, on the other hand, is fighting a proxy war by doing this.
