Rajnath Singh: 'Operation Sindoor' Delivered Justice to Victims, Echoes Heard Till Rawalpindi

New Delhi/Lucknow (The Uttam Hindu): Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the integration and testing facility of BrahMos Aerospace in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh through video conferencing. During this, he said that the dream of my city Lucknow making a big contribution in strengthening India's defense sector is now being fulfilled.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised the Indian Army for 'Operation Sindoor'. He said that the Indian Army has provided justice to those anti-India and terrorist organizations who had wiped off the vermilion of many families by attacking the forehead of Mother India through 'Operation Sindoor'. For this, today the whole country is congratulating the Indian Army. Operation Sindoor is not just a military action, but a symbol of India's political, social and strategic will. This operation is also a demonstration of India's strong will and military power's capability and determination against terrorism. We have shown that whenever India takes any action against terrorism, even the land across the border will not be safe for the terrorists and their masters.
Addressing the program virtually, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh further said, "Indian forces launched Operation Sindoor with the aim of dismantling the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan. We never targeted their civilians. But Pakistan not only targeted civilian areas of India but also tried to attack temples, gurudwaras and churches. The Indian Army has given a befitting reply by attacking many military bases of Pakistan, displaying courage and valor as well as restraint. We not only took action against the military bases adjacent to the border, but the threat of Indian forces was felt till Rawalpindi, where the headquarters of the Pakistani army is located."
Rajnath Singh said that the whole world saw the consequences of committing and getting terrorist incidents done in India after the Uri incident. When our army entered Pakistan and carried out surgical strikes, saw it after Pulwama when air strikes were carried out on Balakot and now the world is seeing after the Pahalgam incident, when India has carried out multiple strikes by entering inside Pakistan. Following the policy of zero tolerance against terrorism, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear that this is a new India, which will take effective action against terrorism on both sides of the border.
He further said, “Today is a historic day for our city Lucknow and our state Uttar Pradesh and the entire country. I believe that today is the day to worship the power that gives strength to our forces, which lies in our forces and wreaks havoc on the enemy. Today is an important day for me personally, because I had a dream for my city Lucknow that my city should make a big contribution in strengthening the defense sector of India, that dream is now being fulfilled. Brahmos is a confluence of the most advanced defense technology of India and Russia. Just as Prayagraj of Uttar Pradesh is famous for its confluence, similarly in future Lucknow will also be known for this technological confluence. This facility has many special features. It will further create employment opportunities directly and indirectly. I am sure that this area will emerge as a growth center in future.”
Referring to 'National Technology Day', Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “The inauguration of the BrahMos Integration and Testing Facility is special because today is National Technology Day. On 11 May 1998, under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, our scientists demonstrated India's power to the world by conducting nuclear tests in Pokhran. This achievement was the result of the tireless efforts of scientists, engineers, defence personnel and others. Today is a day to honour the contribution of our scientists and engineers. When I laid the foundation stone, I had expressed my wish that this project should be completed as soon as possible. I am very happy to see that you people respected my feelings and completed this project in just 40 months. Given the circumstances around us today, it becomes very important that we continue to achieve our goals in this timely manner. On this occasion, I express special gratitude to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath for his contribution.”
On this occasion, Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, scientists, engineers and every person and organization associated with this project. He said, “When our government moved forward with the vision of Defense Corridor in Uttar Pradesh, we had many big goals in front of us at that time. One of those goals was to once again develop Uttar Pradesh as the production center of the country. UP Defense Corridor passes through Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Agra and Aligarh and all these nodes will emerge as new centers of development in the coming times.”
