RCB Marketing Head Nikhil Sosale Arrested While Fleeing to Mumbai, RCB Announces ₹10 Lakh Aid to Families

Bengaluru (The Uttam Hindu): In a significant turn of events following the tragic stampede before the Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) victory parade, the police have taken the team's marketing head, Nikhil Sosle, into custody. This unfortunate incident resulted in the loss of 11 lives and left many others injured. According to police reports, Sosle was trying to escape to Mumbai but was caught at the airport. He is currently being questioned to uncover his involvement in the event's mismanagement.
In the RCB Victory Parade Stampede case, Nikhil Sosle has been arrested, along with three employees from DNA Entertainment Networks—Kiran, Sumanth, and Sunil Mathew—who played a role in organizing the event. They are being interrogated at the Cubbon Park police station by ACP Prakash from Sheshadripuram.
An FIR has been filed at Cubbon Park police station against RCB, DNA Entertainment Networks, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), and several unidentified individuals. The police are now looking into who authorized the event, whether safety measures were adhered to, and where any lapses occurred.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has held the police responsible for the incident and has suspended several officials. In response, senior IPS officer Seemant Kumar Singh has been appointed as Bengaluru's new Police Commissioner. Meanwhile, RCB management has pledged financial support of ₹10 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives. The investigation is still underway, and more updates are anticipated in the days ahead.
