Roadways Bus Collides with Brick-Laden Tractor, Driver Killed, 18 Injured

Moradabad (The Uttam Hindu):– A tragic road accident occurred early Monday morning on the Moradabad-Kashipur highway near the village of Fauladpur in the Thakurdwara area, where a roadways bus collided with a tractor-trolley loaded with bricks. The collision claimed the life of the bus driver and left 18 passengers injured.
The bus, which belonged to the Kashipur depot, was heading from Moradabad when it rammed into the tractor-trolley from behind. The impact of the collision was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely crushed.
The deceased has been identified as Mahfooz Alam, a resident of Bowadwala village in Thakurdwara. Among the seriously injured are Sandeep, Ankit, Dharamveer Singh, Geeta, Deepu, Ravi Singh, Dayal Singh, Rahul, Sunil, Devendra, Parveen, and Narendra Prakash. All injured passengers were immediately rushed to the government hospital with the help of ambulances and local residents who had gathered at the scene.
Doctors at the hospital declared Mahfooz Alam dead upon arrival. Several of the injured were referred to a higher medical center after receiving first aid.
Police from the Thakurdwara Kotwali reached the scene shortly after the incident. Both the bus and the tractor-trolley have been taken into custody. According to In-charge Inspector Vivek Kumar Sharma, the body of the deceased was sent for post-mortem, and the situation at the accident site is now under control.
Passengers who sustained minor injuries have returned to their homes in private vehicles after receiving medical treatment.
