Amarnath Yatra 2025: Ample Accommodation Ensures Hassle-Free Stay for All Pilgrims

Samba (The Uttam Hindu): The administration in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir has made elaborate arrangements for the Shri Amarnath Yatra starting from July 3. The Tourism Department said that a modern transit camp has been prepared in Agyani village for the convenience of the pilgrims.

Air-conditioned hall, CCTV cameras and other facilities have been provided in this camp so that the pilgrims get a safe and comfortable experience. Director of Jammu Tourism Department Vikas Gupta visited the camp on Friday and took stock of the preparations. He said that a new hall with a capacity of 200-250 passengers has been built, which has AC facility. Earlier there was only a shelter here. But now strong concrete wall and chain-link fencing have been done. He said that generators and high-mast lights have been installed for uninterrupted power supply. Borewells have been arranged for clean water and separate male and female bio-toilets have been arranged for cleanliness. Adequate space has also been made for langar.

He said, our aim is to provide safe and convenient travel to the pilgrims. This time the capacity of the camp has been increased to 400-500 pilgrims. Vikas Gupta said that a help desk has also been set up in the camp, where the pilgrims will be given information about the tourist places of Jammu region like Jannat Singh Dev Ji Temple, Baba Chamliyal and Mata Vaishno Devi. According to him, CCTV cameras have been installed in the entire camp for security, so that every activity can be monitored. Gupta said that the tourism department is trying to ensure that after the yatra, the devotees also visit other religious and tourist places of Jammu. This will not only enrich the experience of the pilgrims, but will also benefit the local economy. These preparations of the administration are expected to further improve the Amarnath Yatra.
