Security Forces Strike Hard: 10 Naxalites, Including Rs 1 Crore Bounty Hunter, Killed

Gariaband (The Uttam Hindu): Security forces have achieved a major success in a joint operation in Chhattisgarh's Gariaband district. In this operation, 10 Naxalites including Manoj alias Modem Balkrishna, a Naxalite with a reward of Rs 1 crore, were killed. Balkrishna was a senior member of the central committee of the Naxalite organization and the security forces have described his death as a major achievement.
Operation started on intelligence input
According to sources, the presence of top Naxal leader Modem Balkrishna was confirmed in the intelligence input. After this, a joint team of state police, CRPF and Cobra battalion started the operation in a remote area of Gariaband. During the encounter, the security forces surrounded the group of Naxalites and 10 Naxalites were killed in the firing. Gariaband has long been considered a stronghold of Naxalite activities. There have been many encounters between security forces and Naxalites here. Naxalism has weakened due to continuous operations in recent years. Officials believe that the death of Balkrishna will break the strategic backbone of the Naxalites, as he was the mastermind of many major attacks and plans.
Let us tell you that Manoj alias Modem Balakrishna was accused of many serious crimes like murder, robbery and attack on police. A reward of Rs 1 crore was declared on him due to his escaping arrest and giving direction to the Naxal organization for a long time.
