Violence Erupts in Sindh: Asifa Bhutto Zardaris Convoy Attacked Amid Canal Project Protests

Islamabad (The Uttam Hindu): The uproar against the Sindh River Project in Pakistan is not stopping. In the latest development, the President's daughter's convoy was attacked by protestors with sticks. President Asif Ali Zardari's daughter and MP Asifa Bhutto was rescued from the crowd with great difficulty by her security personnel.

The incident took place in Peer Mangal area near Karachi when Asifa was returning from a political rally. Protesters reportedly surrounded her convoy and attacked the vehicles with sticks. A video of the incident is going viral on social media, in which angry protesters can be seen attacking the convoy. SSP Jamshoro Zafar Siddiqui confirmed that the convoy was halted for less than a minute and there was no harm to the MNA or her security personnel.
