Sonia Gandhi Hospitalized at IGMC Shimla After Sudden Health Deterioration

Shimla (The Uttam Hindu): Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi's health has suddenly deteriorated, after which she has been admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) in Shimla. According to the information, Sonia Gandhi along with her daughter Priyanka Gandhi had come to Shimla on a private visit on June 2 and was staying at Priyanka Gandhi's residence in Chhabra. During her stay in Shimla on Saturday, her health suddenly deteriorated, due to which she was immediately brought to IGMC.

According to the hospital administration, Sonia Gandhi has been kept under special observation. A team of specialist doctors has been deployed for her medical examination. Other necessary tests including MRI are being done so that accurate information about the causes of the disease can be obtained. The direction of further treatment will be decided only after the test report comes.

Upon receiving the information, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu also left his Una district tour midway and left for Shimla.
