New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : The Supreme Court dismissed the PIL seeking protection of tourists in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack and reprimanded the petitioner's lawyer. Reprimanding the petitioner's lawyer, the Supreme Court said that such petitions are filed to gain publicity. The bench of Justice Suryakant and N Kotiswar Singh asked the petitioner's lawyer that why have you filed such a PIL? What is your real motive? Are you unable to understand the sensitivity of this issue? On this, the petitioner's lawyer said that this is the first time that tourists have been targeted in Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, this petition has been filed to issue some instructions regarding the safety of tourists.

Meanwhile, security forces on Monday discovered a terrorist hideout in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. 5 IEDs, wireless sets and some clothes were also recovered here. This hideout was found in Marhot village in Surankot, Poonch. Security forces say that this is a hiding place for terrorists.
