Tarn Taran Bust Unravels ₹600 Cr Heroin Network Operated by UK Handler, ISI

Tarn Taran(The Uttam Hindu): In one of the biggest drug busts of 2025, Punjab’s Tarn Taran Police have uncovered an international narco syndicate and seized 85 kg of heroin. The operation revealed links to Pakistan’s ISI and a UK-based handler named Lalli, who allegedly ran the network.
Key accused Amarjot Singh alias Jota Sandhu, a resident of Bhittewad village in Amritsar (Rural), was arrested. He reportedly received drug consignments from across the border and distributed them across Punjab. His house served as the local base of operations.
Police said the seized heroin is worth crores in the international market. An FIR has been filed and further investigation is underway.
Authorities confirmed the syndicate was being operated from Pakistan, with ISI involvement suspected. Police are probing both upstream and downstream links, anticipating more arrests and recoveries.
Tarn Taran SSP Abhimanyu Rana called it a major success and reaffirmed the department’s zero-tolerance approach to drug trafficking.
