Chandauli (The Uttam Hindu): A violent incident occurred on Saturday night in Hamidpur village of Chandauli district in Uttar Pradesh, where a dispute over paneer at a wedding turned deadly. A young man, enraged at not getting enough paneer, drove a minibus into the wedding pavilion, injuring six people. The condition of three people, including the groom's father and the bride's uncle, is critical, and they are being treated at a trauma center in Varanasi.

The incident began when the young man demanded more paneer and was hit on the head with a cooking spoon by the girl's father. The dispute escalated into a fight, and the youth, in a fit of rage, drove the minibus into the pavilion. The wedding was halted overnight due to the incident, but after mediation by local people and the police, the wedding was completed on Sunday morning.

The police are searching for the accused, who is currently absconding with his vehicle. The authorities have assured that the accused will be arrested soon. The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
