Vijay Deverakonda Faces Legal Trouble: FIR Filed for Allegedly Hurting Tribal Sentiments

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): Actor Vijay Deverakonda seems to be in a new trouble. A complaint has been filed against him under the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) Act. It is alleged that Vijay Deverakonda has allegedly made statements that hurt the sentiments of the tribal community.
The complaint was filed by Nenavath Ashok Kumar, president of the Joint Action Committee of Tribal Community. He claimed that Deverakonda's comments during the pre-release event of the film Retro were objectionable and insulted the tribal community. A case has been registered against Deverakonda at the Raidurgam police station in Cyberabad and the police are investigating the matter.
It is worth mentioning that a program was organized for the promotion of the film 'Retro' in Hyderabad. Vijay Deverakonda was invited as the chief guest in this program. At that time, there was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, after which tensions between India and Pakistan increased. In this context, Vijay was speaking against Pakistan. During this, he made a controversial comment, saying, 'Just like the tribal clans used to fight earlier, similarly India and Pakistan are fighting now.' This statement was not liked by the 'Joint Action Committee of Tribal Community'.
The organization has strongly criticized Vijay's comment and called it an insult to the tribals. They said that the tribal community has a rich history of thousands of years and they have played a special role in environmental protection. The organization has demanded that the actor should pay attention to the facts while speaking in future.
Tribal and tribal groups have protested across the state over this comment of Vijay Deverakonda. Police have also received complaints at many places. Now the Raidurgam police have formally registered a case against Vijay Deverakonda.
