Wedding Turns Tragic: Scorpio-Tractor Crash Claims Eight Lives

Katihar (The Uttam Hindu): Eight wedding guests died in a collision between a Scorpio and a tractor late at night in Bihar. This accident took place near SH 77 Diyara Chandpur Tikapatti Bajrangbali temple in Kursela police station area. Two people were seriously injured in this accident. All were taken to Sameli Community Health Center, where the doctor declared eight people dead. After this accident, the happy atmosphere in the house turned into mourning.

According to the information, at around 1 o'clock, a Scorpio hit a tractor loaded with corn from behind, in which eight people lost their lives. At the same time, two people are said to be injured.

The baraati coming from behind on a motorcycle told that this baraat was going from Barhara Kothi Dibra Bazar of Purnia to Koskipur village near Kursela. Near the Diyara Chandpur bridge, the wheel of the Scorpio ran over a heap of maize on the road and it went out of control and collided with a tractor loaded with maize parked on the road. After this, the vehicle was completely destroyed.

The family members who were going to the wedding procession said that all the people in the Scorpio were injured. The local police admitted the injured to the Sameli Community Health Center. The doctor declared eight dead. The condition of two of the injured is critical, who were referred to a higher center for better treatment. The family members said that the atmosphere of happiness in the house has turned into mourning after this incident. All the relatives and family members were in the car which met with the accident.

The victim's family says that road accidents are reported every day due to people drying and loading corn on the road. They allege that due to no concrete action at the administrative level, corn is spread on half the roads on the National Highway and State Highway for drying, the brunt of which is borne by the passengers traveling on the road.
