Kidneys suddenly started failing, causing panic
This entire horrific affair began in mid-February when several customers suddenly fell seriously ill after drinking milk supplied to parts of Lalcheruvu. Patients suddenly began vomiting, experiencing excruciating stomach pain, and stopped urinating. Most alarmingly, the patients' kidneys suddenly stopped functioning. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, health officials quickly launched a major epidemic investigation.
Ethylene glycol poison was found in milk, which was being supplied to 100 familie
According to an official press release issued on Sunday, when the deadly milk was tested in a laboratory, the results shocked even the officials. The investigation revealed a shocking finding: a highly toxic chemical called ethylene glycol. Drinking this toxic chemical caused the victims' kidneys to fail and their organs to stop functioning, resulting in the deaths of 16 people.
An administrative investigation has revealed that a dairy unit located in Narsapuram village of Korukonda Mandal was supplying this deadly milk to over 100 families in the area. After coming under suspicion, supplies from this dairy unit have been stopped with immediate effect. According to data, between February 16 and March 21, a total of 20 people were admitted to various hospitals in critical condition.
