Gold Prices Crash Below ₹1.18 Lakh: Check Latest Gold & Silver Rates

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The downward trend in gold prices continues, with the yellow metal now hovering close to ₹1.18 lakh per 10 grams. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold has fallen by ₹3,034, bringing it down to ₹1,18,043 per 10 grams, compared to the previous rate of ₹1,21,077 per 10 grams.
The price of 22-carat gold has also declined to ₹1,08,127 per 10 grams, down from ₹1,10,907 per 10 grams earlier. Similarly, 18-carat gold now costs ₹88,532 per 10 grams, a drop from ₹90,809 per 10 grams.
Not only gold, but silver prices have also seen a notable decline. Silver fell by ₹3,135, reaching ₹1,41,896 per kg, compared to ₹1,45,031 per kg earlier.
The IBJA releases updated gold and silver prices twice daily — at 12 PM and 5 PM. Prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) have also fallen. The December 5, 2025 gold futures contract dropped 1.87% to ₹1,18,700, while silver futures for the same date declined 0.74% to ₹1,42,301.
According to Jatin Trivedi of LKP Securities, renewed trade negotiations between the U.S. and China have created a negative sentiment toward gold. Investors are now focusing on the U.S. Federal Reserve’s upcoming interest rate decision.
He further noted that gold remains under pressure, with support levels at ₹1,16,500–₹1,18,000 and resistance levels between ₹1,21,000–₹1,22,000.
In international markets, both gold and silver prices have also declined. On COMEX, gold dropped 1.98% to $3,939 per ounce, while silver slipped 0.52% to $46.53 per ounce.
