Good News for Travelers: Rail Neer Water Bottles Now Available at Lower Price

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Indian Railways has made a significant decision for train passengers. Rail Neer water bottles, available at railway stations and in trains, have now become cheaper. The Railways has reduced the price, which will directly benefit passengers.
New prices applicable from September 22:
The commercial department of the Railways has issued an order that Rail Neer bottles will be available at cheaper rates from September 22.
1 litre bottle will now be available for Rs 14 instead of Rs 15.
Half litre bottle will now be available for Rs 9 instead of Rs 10.
However, this change will only apply to the Rail Neer brand. The prices of other bottled water companies will remain the same. The Railways says this decision will provide passengers with clean and safe drinking water at a lower price. This is a welcome relief for passengers who frequently purchase water during long journeys. The Railways' aim is to provide quality packaged water to passengers at affordable rates.
What is Rail Neer?
Rail Neer is Indian Railways' proprietary brand operated by IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation). It was launched in 2003 to provide passengers with reliable and clean packaged drinking water. Its purpose was to prevent the sale of substandard and questionable quality water at railway stations and to provide passengers with a reliable alternative.
