New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Users will see new changes in UPI (unified payment interface) today. NPCI keeps making changes in UPI payment every day. The purpose of this new change is to facilitate transactions through UPI apps PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm.
What has changed?
According to the information received in this regard, now the time limit has been reduced in some services related to UPI payment. This information has been taken from the circular issued by NPCI. Now the response timing related to transaction status and reversal has been reduced to 10 seconds. Earlier this process used to take 30 seconds.
Earlier, users had to wait for 30 seconds to know whether the payment was completed or not. This has now been reduced to 10 seconds.
Along with this, the time limit for validate address (pay and collect) has also been reduced from 15 seconds to 10 seconds.
What is the purpose of the change
The circular states that the purpose of this change is to further improve the user experience. Users will also save time due to less time taken.
You can make payment up to this amount
Through UPI apps like PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm, you can transact up to Rs 2 lakh in lump sum or in installments. After the advent of UPI apps, making payments has become easier. You no longer need cash for payment.
