New Delhi (The HealthWarningsUttam Hindu): The Health Ministry of the Government of India has ordered the central institutions across the country to install "Oil and Sugar Board". After which, now along with the sweetness of Jalebi and the spiciness of Samosa, health warnings will also come.

Vendors will now have to tell how harmful the snacks they are serving are for health or how much sugar or any other substance is present in them. This step is the beginning of declaring junk food as dangerous as cigarettes. Soon you will see warning boards behind delicious snacks like laddu, vada pav and pakoras, which will force you to think.

According to a report, like tobacco, now health warnings will be printed on sweet and oily food products as well. Regarding this, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has ordered all central institutions including AIIMS Nagpur to put up oil and sugar boards. These posters will have printed how much fat and sugar is hidden in your daily breakfast. AIIMS Nagpur officials have confirmed receiving a circular regarding this. They are preparing to put up boards at many public places including cafeterias.

Officials say the initiative is part of the fight against serious diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease that are linked to excess sugar and oil intake.
