Mahindra's Batman Edition BE 6 SUV Snapped Up in Minutes, Sets Booking Record

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Mahindra has created a stir in the automobile market by launching its much-awaited BE 6 'Batman Edition' electric SUV. People were so crazy about this special car inspired by 'The Dark Knight' trilogy that all its units were sold within just 135 seconds of the sale starting at 11 am on August 23.

The company initially made only 300 units of this limited edition car available for sale. But seeing the tremendous response, the company increased the number of units to 999. Surprisingly, even the increased units were fully booked in a few minutes. This record-breaking booking shows how rapidly the demand for premium and theme-based electric cars is increasing in the Indian market.

This SUV is attracting customers due to its stunning design and Batman-themed styling. The car has been given an exclusive satin black paint finish. There are custom Batman decals on the front doors and a special badging of “BE 6 × The Dark Knight” at the rear. The R20's new alloy wheels and Alchemy Gold finished suspension give it an even more powerful look.

The Dark Knight theme has been maintained inside the car as well. There are Alchemy Gold accents on everything from the steering wheel to the key-fob. The iconic Batman symbol is engraved on the 'boost' button, seatback and dashboard. The 'Batman Edition' welcome animation on the infotainment display and custom exterior sounds inspired by the Batmobile make this a truly special vehicle.

The BE 6 Batman Edition is based on the variant with a 79 kWh battery pack. This electric SUV gives a great range of up to 682 km on a single full charge. This variant generates 285 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque. This car supports 175 kW DC fast charging, which charges its battery from 20 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.
