President Trump to Take on Apple, Announces Entry into Mobile Telecom
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Former US President Donald Trump is now preparing to enter the technology and telecom sector. According to media reports, Trump's company is going to launch a new smartphone and telecom service soon. This upcoming handset has currently been named 'Trump Phone T1', although the company has not officially confirmed the name and launch date.
President Trump will compete with Apple, will enter the mobile and telecom sector; 'Trump Phone' will be launched soon: According to reports, this phone will be completely 'Made in America', that is, it will be manufactured in America only. This initiative matches with Trump's old vision of promoting technology manufacturing in America and giving priority to domestic production. It is noteworthy that American tech giant Apple is also a US company, but it gets its iPhones and other products manufactured in countries like India, China and Taiwan. Trump's company, on the other hand, has a different view in this matter.
Donald Trump Jr., who is in charge of running the Trump Organization, informed about this plan. He said that he has spoken to many experts related to the technology industry and this plan was shared on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. The Trump Organization plans to introduce a gold color premium smartphone. According to reports, the price of this phone can be around $499 (about Rs 42,000). Along with this, the monthly charge for Trump's telecom service has been fixed at $47 (about Rs 4,000).
Trump's company has also applied for a trademark in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), which indicates that this project is no longer just an idea but may soon become a reality. At present, no official information has been revealed about the launch date of this phone, but it is clear from media reports and patent activities that Trump's company is going to enter this sector seriously.
