New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Despite global sanctions and numerous challenges, smartphone manufacturer Huawei has once again proven its dominance in the market. The company's recently launched "Huawei Mate 80 series" has created a stir in the Chinese smartphone market. The popularity of this series can be gauged from the fact that within a short time of its launch, more than 7.5 lakh units have been sold. Reaching this sales figure in such a short period is considered a major achievement for any premium flagship smartphone.

However, these record-breaking sales have also created a new problem for the company. Demand is so strong that the supply chain has completely lagged. Many online and offline stores have already sold out of stock of the Mate 80 series, forcing customers to wait longer to purchase the phones. According to industry experts, there are several technical reasons behind this supply shortage. Huawei is largely using its in-house Kirin chipset, whose production capacity is currently limited. Furthermore, the supply of high-end camera sensors and OLED displays used in the phones is also falling short of the overwhelming demand.

The success of the Huawei Mate 80 series is attributed to its powerful features and the company's indigenous technology. Comprising models like the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, and Mate 80 Pro+, the series is being well-received by users for its powerful processor, excellent camera system, and premium design. The way Huawei has reduced its dependence on foreign technology and strengthened its own hardware and software ecosystem has further strengthened Chinese consumers' trust in the brand. Currently, the company is struggling to increase production capacity, as even Huawei itself had not anticipated such a huge demand at the time of launch.
