Silver price crosses ₹2.60 lakh mark again, gold also gains

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Silver witnessed a sharp surge of over ₹6,000 on Wednesday, while gold prices also recorded gains, though the rise in gold was comparatively moderate. Notably, both gold and silver had declined in the previous session.

At around 10 am, gold was trading higher by ₹631 per 10 grams. The price of 10 grams of gold stood at ₹1,60,600. During the day, gold recorded a low of ₹1,60,332 per 10 grams and a high of ₹1,61,072 per 10 grams.

Meanwhile, silver prices also surged significantly. At around 10 am, one kilogram of silver was priced at ₹2,66,801, reflecting a jump of ₹6,057 per kilogram. Silver recorded a low of ₹2,64,300 per kg and a high of ₹2,67,990 per kg during the session.

Among major cities, Patna reported the lowest price for 10 grams of gold at ₹1,60,700, while Chandigarh offered gold at ₹1,60,860 per 10 grams. In the case of silver, Patna recorded the lowest rate at ₹2,67,920 per kg. Bhopal and Indore reported the highest silver price at ₹2,68,650 per kilogram.
