New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump has made some changes regarding the tariff imposed on countries. The US White House has made changes in its reciprocal tariff implemented on April 2 and has exempted some items including bullion related items and some important minerals and pharmaceutical products from the tariff.

The new order also includes aluminum hydroxide, resins and silicone products, which will be subject to reciprocal duties. This change has been made in an executive order issued on Friday. These changes will come into effect from Monday.

President Donald Trump issued a special order that removed country-based tariffs on graphite, tungsten, uranium, gold bullion and several other metals. But the duty has been imposed on silicone products. Pseudoephedrine, antibiotics and some other drugs, which were already under investigation by the Commerce Department, have also been relieved by this new order. Apart from silicone products, Trump has also decided to increase his tariffs on resins and aluminum hydroxide.
