San Francisco (The Uttam Hindu ): The iconic blue bird logo on the San Francisco headquarters of social media platform Twitter, now known as X, has finally been auctioned. This iconic logo has been bought in the auction for 34 thousand 375 dollars, i.e. about 30 lakh rupees. According to a spokesperson of the auction company, the giant blue bird logo, weighing around 254 kilograms and measuring 12 feet tall and 9 feet wide, was acquired by an unidentified buyer.

The blue bird was not the only centre of attraction in this auction. Along with this, many other rare and historical items were also auctioned. Among them, an Apple-1 computer was sold for 3.75 lakh dollars (about 3.22 crores rupees), while an Apple cheque signed by Steve Jobs was auctioned for 1,12,054 dollars (about 96.3 lakhs rupees). Apart from this, the first generation sealed pack 4GB iPhone was sold for 87 thousand 514 dollars.

It is worth noting that the future of this blue bird logo was uncertain since Elon Musk acquired Twitter in 2022 and later changed its name to X. Even though this logo is no longer a part of the microblogging website X, its identity in the social media world remains as strong as Apple or Nike. Elon Musk bought Twitter for about $44 billion (about Rs 3368 billion). At the time of acquisition, Musk said that free expression is essential to maintain democracy. His goal was to make Twitter a great platform with new features and better facilities, under which he has also made many big changes on this platform.
