New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Razorpay has announced a major partnership with NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), the global arm of the National Payments Corporation of India through its Malaysian entity, Curlec. The collaboration finalized at the Global Fintech Fest 2025 marks a key milestone in taking India’s digital payment ecosystem global.

This integration will allow millions of Indian tourists in Malaysia to make instant and secure payments to local merchants using their preferred UPI apps — without the need for international cards or currency conversion. Payments will be processed in Malaysia’s local currency the ringgit (RM) benefiting both Indian users and Malaysian businesses by enabling smooth, real-time transactions.

Razorpay’s Managing Director and Co-founder, Shashank Kumar, said UPI has transformed the way Indians pay by combining innovation and inclusion. Through Curlec, Razorpay aims to offer the same ease and speed in Malaysia, helping travelers and merchants experience a new level of digital convenience.
