Vande Bharat sleeper's first trip hits snag: breakdown raises eyebrows, video goes viral

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The country recently received its first Vande Bharat Sleeper train, which was launched between Howrah and Guwahati. This train, with its world-class facilities and luxurious interiors, made every Indian proud. However, soon after its launch, some images emerged that turned this pride into embarrassment. During the journey, some passengers, displaying their poor civic sense, turned this gleaming train into a garbage dump, a video of which is now going viral on social media.
In a video going viral on social media, it can be clearly seen that the train is brand new, but garbage is scattered on the floor. The video was made by a passenger who is sitting on his seat in an empty coach and turns the camera to show the reality. Empty yogurt packets and used dirty tissue paper are scattered on the floor. Instead of throwing the garbage in the dustbin after eating, passengers throw it under their seats and on the floor. Seeing this scene, it is clear that despite getting modern facilities, there has been no change in the mentality of some people.

The video maker asked a sharp question
The passenger who recorded this video, pointing to the filth, raised a very valid question. He asked, "Is this the railway's fault, the government's, or our own?" His statement resonates deeply, as maintaining cleanliness inside a train is not just the responsibility of the administration, but also of the passengers. It's distressing for any responsible citizen to see a train, built at a cost of millions of rupees, in such a state on its first day.
Netizens became furious and demanded strict punishment
This video has been shared on the social media platform X by the handle @Indianinfoguide. As soon as the video went viral, people's anger has reached the seventh sky. People are venting their anger in the comment section. One user sarcastically wrote that to tell the truth, this is what was expected from the people of India. At the same time, another user wrote that for now wait for the traces of gutkha. Many people have demanded that such people should be identified by installing cameras in trains and they should be given strict punishment. One user even wrote that such people need 'Danda Style', first hit and then ask.
