Panchkula (The Uttam Hindu): Former Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Mohammad Mustafa and his family are embroiled in a serious controversy. A case has been filed in Panchkula, Haryana against Mohammad Mustafa, his wife and former cabinet minister Razia Sultana, his daughter and daughter-in-law for the murder of their son, Aqeel Akhtar and criminal conspiracy.

The Panchkula MDC police station took this action based on a complaint filed by a neighbor, Shamsuddin. In his complaint to the Panchkula Police Commissioner Shamsuddin made extremely serious and sensational allegations. The complaint claims that former DGP Mohammad Mustafa and his daughter-in-law (Akil's wife) had an illicit relationship and that Razia Sultana was also involved in the conspiracy.

It is worth noting that Aqeel died in Panchkula late on the night of October 16. At that time, the family reported that Aqeel had died due to a drug overdose.

The case took a new turn when a video of Aqeel dated August 27th surfaced. In the video, Aqeel himself is seen saying that his family members are plotting to kill him. In the video, Aqeel also mentioned an illicit relationship between his father and his wife.

Based on this video and the complaint of the neighbour, the Panchkula MDC police station has now registered a case against Mohammad Mustafa, Razia Sultana, her daughter and daughter-in-law under sections 103(1) and 61 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and started investigation.
