Wife of Ex-Advocate General of Punjab and Haryana High Court found murdered in Mohali, servant tied to chair

S.A.S. Nagar (The Uttam Hindu) : Ashok Goyal, wife of former Additional Advocate General of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Krishan Kumar Goyal, was strangled to death. The tragic incident took place at their home in Phase 5, where Goyal lives with his family and his office is on the first floor. When the housekeeper entered the house in the morning after work, she saw Ashok Goyal's body inside and immediately informed the police. Meanwhile, the servant was found tied to a chair. Following the information, SP City Dilpreet Singh reached the spot with a police team. According to the police, the house was looted and jewellery and cash were stolen. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after the incident.

The forensic team has collected evidence from the scene and is examining CCTV footage. During the investigation, it also emerged that if the robbers killed the elderly woman, why did they leave the young servant alive? Based on suspicion, the police have arrested the servant and begun questioning him. The detained servant, Neeraj (25), had been working with the Goyal family for the past nine years. At the time of the incident, Krishna Kumar Goyal was visiting his daughter in Muscat.
