Ayodhya (The Uttam Hindu): There is good news for the people of Ayodhya, as they will soon get advanced cancer treatment facilities within the city itself. Patients will no longer need to travel outside Ayodhya for the treatment of serious diseases like cancer. Under the leadership of the Namo Foundation, a modern cancer hospital will be developed in Ayodhya on around 6 to 8 acres of land, where cancer treatment will be provided at affordable costs.

A meeting regarding this project was held between the Ram Temple Trust and the Namo Foundation, attended by a six-member team from the foundation. The proposed cancer hospital is likely to be constructed near Surya Kund and may be named after Raja Vimalendra Mohan Pratap Mishra. At present, the process of finalising the land is underway.

Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra said that the concept of the Namo Cancer Foundation is inspired by the vision of Ratan Tata, aimed at strengthening cancer screening and treatment facilities across different parts of the country. He also stated that Ayodhya’s Raja Yatindra Mishra has assured support in providing land for the project.

Mishra added that the hospital will also reflect the identity of the Ram Temple Trust and will focus on public welfare. Treatment costs will be kept affordable, especially for economically weaker sections. The construction of the cancer hospital is planned to be completed within 24 months. Once completed, this project is expected to give Ayodhya a new identity in the field of healthcare.
