Bomb threats to Dwarka Court and 13 schools in Cyber City, security agencies on high alert

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Panic spread across the national capital Delhi and nearby NCR areas on Wednesday morning after reports of bomb threats surfaced at multiple locations. Dwarka Court in Delhi and 13 well-known private schools in Cyber City received bomb threat emails, triggering immediate action by police and security agencies. Following the alerts, authorities were put on high alert, schools were closed as a precautionary measure, and all premises were evacuated.

Chaos in schools as students sent home

Fear gripped Cyber City after administrations of around 13 private schools received threatening emails early Wednesday. The messages arrived when students had either already reached school or were on their way. Upon receiving the threats, school authorities promptly informed the police control room and declared holidays to ensure safety. Parents were immediately notified to take their children home, leading to chaos outside school campuses. Local police, bomb disposal squads, dog squads, and SDRF teams rushed to the locations and took charge of the situation.

Intensive search from classrooms to flower pots

Security teams carried out thorough checks of classrooms, washrooms, playgrounds, corridors, and even flower pots inside school premises. Surrounding sensitive areas were also searched extensively. After hours of inspection, no suspicious objects or explosives were found in any of the schools. Police stated that the situation is under control, though surveillance has been increased as a precaution.

Search operation at Dwarka Court, cyber cell probes emails

Meanwhile, a similar bomb threat at Dwarka Court created alarm among officials and visitors. As soon as the email was received, Delhi Police and security agencies launched a search operation within the court complex. No suspicious material has been recovered so far. The cyber cell of Delhi Police has begun a technical investigation to trace the origin of the threat emails and identify those responsible.
