Four youths from Nainital district were killed and one injured after a speeding car crashed into a tractor trolley on the Lucknow–Delhi National Highway in Moradabad.

Lucknow (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic road accident occurred on the Lucknow–Delhi National Highway in Moradabad, where a speeding car rammed into a tractor trolley loaded with bricks. Four people lost their lives in the incident. All the deceased have been identified as residents of Nainital district in Uttarakhand.

The accident took place on Monday morning near Mankara turn in the Mundhapande area. According to reports, the fast-moving car crashed into a tractor trolley moving ahead on the road. The collision was so severe that the car was completely mangled.

Police teams reached the spot and rescued the passengers trapped inside the vehicle after considerable effort. They were taken to the Mundhapande Community Health Center, where doctors declared four of the five occupants dead.

One youth sustained serious injuries and was referred to the district hospital for further treatment. Highway Circle Officer Rajesh Kumar said that the deceased have been identified as Dayal Rawat of Vemila Compound Paliwal in Nainital, Anil Negi (38), Sundar Saini (42) and Bhuvan Bhandari (37) from Haldwani.

The car’s driver, Yashdeep Pandey from Haldwani, was seriously injured in the accident. After the incident, the tractor driver fled from the scene.
