Central Bank of India's 115th Foundation Day Celebrated Grandly in Delhi Zone

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Central Bank of India, one of the leading public sector banks in the country, celebrated its 115th Foundation Day at the Constitution Club of India, Delhi in a highly dignified and enthusiastic atmosphere. The ceremony was presided over by the Zonal Head, Mr. Sheeshram Tundwal with Ms. Nidhi Khare, Secretary, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India and Mr. Umesh Kumar Singh, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Sarai as the chief guests.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a tribute to the bank's founder. Addressing the gathering, the speakers highlighted Central Bank of India's glorious 115-year journey, its role in nation-building, and its contributions to empowering the common people, farmers, MSMEs and underprivileged sections of society.
Zonal Head Mr. Sheeshram Tundwal in his address, stated that Central Bank of India is continuously moving forward with the values of trust, transparency and service. He appreciated the dedication and team spirit of the employees and said that the bank is prepared for future challenges by prioritizing digital banking, cybersecurity, financial inclusion and customer satisfaction.
Chief Guest Ms. Nidhi Khare praised the bank's innovation, customer-friendly initiatives, financial inclusion, financial literacy campaigns and its role in inclusive development through government schemes. She said that public sector banks are the backbone of the country's growing economy, and Central Bank of India is playing a crucial role in this.
Special Guest Mr. Umesh Kumar Singh in his address, reminisced about his banking journey and appealed to everyone to provide even better customer service.
On this occasion, the bank's esteemed customers and outstanding officers and employees were felicitated. Approximately 700 employees, along with all senior officers, participated in the ceremony.
Cultural programs were also presented by the staff members. Children of the staff also presented fancy dress and dance performances, which added to the charm of the event. Everyone participated enthusiastically making the program a success, and the ceremony concluded with a pledge to ensure the bank's bright future and continued service to the nation. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. P. C. Khurana, Deputy General Manager.
